    What's this for?

It's placed on the rear bumper behind the left wheel.

some kinda crazy European thing, we ain't got them in the states.

do y'all have LPG over there, kinda looks like a place to put an alternative fuel source.

The car was imported from Illinois to Sweden two years ago so it was sold new in the US.

I agree. check out behind the plastic piece under the wheel well. if im not mistaken there is supposed to be some kind of canister under there somewhere. i think the plastic flap is only held on by some screws,

unscrew it and see what happens.. lol

Try looking around in the car and see if you see hoses, t fittings, a pressure gauge, or hell even a big *** tank in there somewhere...

hard to believe when the car was inspected they didnt notice that. Buddy had his Mustang crushed when we was stationed in Germany because he couldnt afford to bring his stang to Euro specs... hahha it was crap anyways... some 83 mustang hatch back blah. it deserved to die. besides he went out and got a BMW anyways which sat at the pier for 2 months before he could afford to bring it to US Specs. hahaha

                    Re: What's this?

WTF? Does it run on natural gas?

I don't know, I just bought it and have been changing the rack and pinion and some other parts that were broken so I haven't been able to fill up the tank yet. This might get interesting.

I agree with you, the guys figuring out those specs should sit down together sometime and try to talk to each other. It would make our lives a lot easier.

When looking under the car I don't see anything strange. I will put it on a lift and report back about what I find in a week or two when I have done that.

Here are some engine pictures for now. Do you guys see anything that isn't supposed to be there? I'm use to the clean 2 gen engine compartments, in this sucker there are tons of stuff in the way. The new technology with the injection engines sure isn't as beautiful as the old carburated ones.

This is the only hoses and pipes that there is under the car.
