Hello all, On the 2.8L originally in my camaro had 150,000 miles on it then a pushrod went so that was the end of that motor. Now i got This 1994 3.4L and shes got 120,000 miles on her, and i plan on taking care of this engine as much as physically possible, how much life does everyone think is left in the engine? What are some numbers of people who have a similar engine, because i plan on putting quite a bit of money into the engine if i CAN. thanx alot every1.

a friend of mine has 140,000 and his car still runs strong. i am sure you can get 200,000 if you keep up on oil changes96 Camaro 3.8 A4 Basemodel: 8 mm wires, Shift Kit, Hollowed <br />Cat(o2 sims), RKSport exhaust, IAT 5.6K resistor, Home Depot CAI<br />>>>15.375 @ 89.27<<<NEW BEST TIME <a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/552491\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/552491</a>

I have 3.4l v6 on my camaro and it has nearly 150,000+ miles on it and it still runs strong. Just take care of it change the oil regularly and keep the fluids filled and changed regularly and it should last well over 200,000+ miles. I'm hoping mine will.

I have a 1990 Dodge Omni 2.2l with 213,500 miles on it, and it still gets me back-n-forth to work without any problems. It also passes inspection every year without any mishaps. Take care of your car and it'll take care of you.

i put 120,000 on a 1992 bonneville with the 3.8
no motor problems ever.
tranny was on its way out, but the motor was solid as a rock
sold it, and got a LS1, (AC was broken... $1500 to replace, cheaper/better to buy a new car ;) )

I've got a 94 3.4l that just rolled over 146,000 miles, and she still runs just great. Aside from regular maintenance, I've hardly had to put any money into the engine. I'm fairly sure that if you treat them right, they'll run just short of forever.

Got a 95 Chevy Lumina with a 3100 V6 pushing 210K. It used about a quart of oil every 2 weeks, but other than that it rund great and still has plenty of power. Don't see why it won't make it to 300K. You just have to take care of your stuff.1993 Pontiac Firebird 3.4L V6 A4<br />F41 RPO suspension option<br />119K miles<br />Fastchip<br />K&N \"Filtercharged\"<br />Airbox cuttout CAI<br />ASP underdrive pulleys<br />Pacesetter Headers<br />Flowmaster 80 Series 2.75 cat-back<br />MangaFlow Hi-Flow Cat<br />Corvette Servo<br />16.4 @ 81 MPH

If you are talking s-charging, n20, cam, etc. then I'd suggest a rebuild.
