does this oil treatment work, and if it does does it make a big difference? ps my car has about 97k miles

Use the correct SAE grade and API certified oil, and keep a proper oil level, and you're doing your job. never, NEVER, use additives in your oil, EVER.
its been gone over a LOT why.
