How do you Adjust the allignment?

Just curious if there is a way to adjust it at all. i don't have a lot of money to do the allignment right now but the driver's tire is wearing more on the inside of the tire. it's not at all wearing weird on the passanger side though. and tips to adjusting it at all. i talked to a guy at a shop that said to avoid the camber setting from wearing the tires you can use a level on the side that's not off and mark it and adjust the other side to match. i don't know much about allignment's but any help would do. thanks

Don't do it then....you will probably **** it up more than it is....besides....it can't be done correctly without some semi-expensive tools.

If one knows how to do a proper front end alignment, all you need are basic hand tools, a level floor, string and a tape measure.

If you aren't sure of what you are doing, take it to someone who does.

I'd look around for someone running a special on alignment jobs. I had mine done at Tire America 39.99 with a coupon. Kept putting it off cause didn't really have the money to spend but after it was done I couldn't believe how much of a difference it made.

sounds like its just a camber problem. if you have a level area, its not hard to adjust the camber. the lower control arm is used to make alignment adjustments. however, you need a tool to hold the lower control arm in place while you loosen the nuts and adjust the wheel.

if you are on level ground the camber can be checked with a level on the inside of the rim/lip. you wheel should have a 0 to slight negative camber (although .7 to -.7 degrees is acceptable). adjust caster and four-wheel is harder but look around on the web. it is possible.
