Somethings going out on my car help

here is the signs when I try to start up the car I have to continue to turn the key for it to start could be the starter. Then when it starts up the car will idle itself up to different levels without me stepping on the gas I also have to give it some gas to make it start sometimes. I have no check enine light so I think its either my fuel pump or starter or maybe the car needs a tune up. What does these signs sound like to yall camaro owners

sounds like your IAC

if it stops cranking, then yes it would be your starter, the only thing the starter does is spin the engine, and if it was the fuel pump your car wouldnt run at all

Ok, we need to get to basics here.

Does the engine crank (turn over) consistently??? If so, starter is good.

If it cranks but won't fire then maybe fuel pump, or something else.

You need to answer first in order to diagnose any further.

Crank or no crank???

yeah the engine cranks up but I have to have my feet on the gas and pump it while Im starting the car sometimes the car just fires right up without me having to do so because I have remote start. I thought if the fuel pump was going out that could happen on start up. I just like getting in my car and not having to continue cranking up the car its embarrasing to drive such a nice looking car and when you get in it the car dosen't start up on the first turn it takes about 3 to 5 turns for the car to start.

I was also wondering could it be my spark plugs since I haven't replaced them yet

i doubt it, like i said, it sounds like a TB or IAC problem

Well, you can scratch the starter off of the list because that is not the problem.

i think it could be the fuel pressure regulator. or just a fuel issue
