  • P0300 and sluggish start

I have a 96 camaro, have had it for 4 years. Well is the past 2 months it started giving me trouble. It had Check Engine light on!!! o.O but it was running fine. It has trouble starting, usualy when its cold it fires right up I dunno what the deal is. But i hooked it to my dads canOBD2 and it reported "P0300 Random Misfire" but it runs like a top its not sluggish or anything. only time its sluggish is when starting and it smells like fuel everytime it starts. any help would be much appreciated

I would check the plugs to see if any are fuel soaked. Maybe it needs new plugs and wires if they are at all old. Fuel-soaked plugs will at least narrow it down to whatever cylinder has the problem.
