Re: five long months
I would just change the oil, put it on something to get the tires off the ground, and then disconnect the battery. Five months isn't that long of a time. It'll be fine when you get back.2002 Silver Firebird A4
T-Tops, Leather, Y87, W68, Chrome Wheels
Bone Stock

Re: five long months
Personally, I would change the oil if the current oil is at all old. It gets acids and stuff in there, you wouldn't want that sitting for months on end. If you changed it just recently, then I'd leave it.
Also, if it's going to be in a garage with electric access, you could get a trickle charger the keep the battery charged, and keep all of your radio settings and such. Plus then the PCM won't have to re-learn everything when you get back.Last edited by Rob Bell; 04-02-2008, 06:22 PM.2002 Silver Firebird A4
T-Tops, Leather, Y87, W68, Chrome Wheels
Bone Stock

Re: five long months
Dump some fuel stabilizer in the tank and fill it up. When you do park it, make sure the car has been running for a while to be sure any condensation has evaporated. The absolute worst thing to do is have someone start it up and idle it for a few minutes every so often while your gone.
