3800 Series II engine Questions

Hello everyone I have been looking for a 3800 series II engine for a while, and i think i have found one but the guy wants $450 just for the engine alone. My question is do you guys think it is a good deal, or should i wait to see if I can find another one.

How many miles are on it? Is it modded at all? Is that including the PCM and wiring?

under 50k, not modded then yes.

The car has over 100K with no mods, but he just wants to sell me the motor.

I'm going to tell him $250. Since I do want to rebuild the motor if i get it. And i will have to go and take the motor out of the car myself.
