can't go up to 3000rpm

Yesterday with my maro i have had a strange problem.

This appear two month ago but one time.

The car shift fine, just a little firm on 1-2 when the car is cold. I wanted to go up to 3000tr/min on third gear and the car can't.

It's like you are in the red area of the rpm, like a electric safety.

This morning my car go up to 3000 but i loose a little power (for me). i have no trouble code.

What do you think, the spark plus wires maybe?

almost sounds like a clogged cat. Check to see if it's red next time you take it for a drive. Wires would probably cause a misfire, which wouldn't limit you at a certain RPM unless it's really bad and bucking like crazy. I'm going to go with clogged cat. Is it only in 3rd gear? Only when it warms up?

I don't know if it's only on 3th.

Today it doesn't appear but i could feel a difference with before past 3000tr/min.

Maybe the cat but i wish it's not. In france it cost 600$.

I have a magnaflow, maybe it's this, no?

I'm worry about the tranny, but at 3000rpm i don't think.
