Hey all,
I've been defeated. It was no huge surprise, the bolts on the third coil pack(Which has 97k miles on it) are frozen. It's too tight in there for me to get alot on it, and all I'm doing is striping the head on the bolt. So, the ignition plate is coming out so I can get at it. 3 questions.
1. I see two bolts on the manifold side and 1 bolt on the bracket towards the front. Are these all the bolts?
2. The wiring harness on back, does it just pull out like a cable on a computer? Never pulled a wiring harness for an ignition before and I'd imagine it'd be an extremely expensive thing to break.
3. Anyone happen to know the length on the bolts that keep the coil packs on? These things are looking pretty bad, rust and heads are wearing, I'd like to just replace them when I do this.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: Oops! It's a 98 firebird.
