  • FWD 3800 II motor

Well guys I just bought a 3800 Series II engine with tranny. Now my question is if I buy the 3800 series II RWD intake will it fit in a Camaro? I bought a whole car with that engine and it was really cheap so I want to know if I can use the engine for my Camaro, if not I will be selling it for parts :naughty:.

I dont think so. Im pretty sure that it wont mount up right. I know for a fact the trans wont though.

Thanks. Well it's time to gut the car and make some cash from it then.

It's a Lumina LVZ. I just need to tow it home and I'll gut it. there's a picture of what it currently looks like.

Thanks alot for the info. I was already getting ready to sell it to some one who was going to give me $200 for it. But now it is going to be a project that is going to involve some rebuilding before it even touches my camaro. guess my 3.4L is going to be sold or scrapped for parts for a 3.1L I have. Thank ALOT Chevyinside :rock:

it is the same exact block, it is impossible for the trans not to fit on there with the right parts... parts that you could easily take from the old engine it is replacing

I thank everyone for all of your insight and helping me out.:wavey:
I will probably be asking more questions about the 3800 series II engine in the near future.

yeah i got the car for 50$ it was in car accident so my guess would be that the engine is good but just needs a little tlc so i it can run again.

Intake, oil pan, front engine accessories (alternator bracket, power steering pump bracket) You need an f-body coil bracket as well, f-body exhaust manifolds, f-body pcm and wiring harness to mate with your current f-body in car harness, obd2 port. In short, it's going to be a pain in the ***.
