My AC compressor kicks in and out with the AC on. No cold air :(I've checked the refrigerant with a gauge and it's O.K. I did see some white smoke around, and to the back of it. But could not tell where it was coming from or if it's a refrigerant leak. The gauge says no leak?? Is it on it's way out?

it might be the sensor.. im not sure if you can replace it or not, some years you can, some years you need a new compressor

        Re: AC compressor

What side of the pressure did you check? Just the low side? You need to check pressure on the low and high sides to diagnose AC problems. It wouldn't be a bad idea to post what the pressures were either.
