  • Fastchip installed. Look here!!!!!

First off, I just want to say thanks to all those who helped me decide to get this program, especially 95Batmobile. Thsi might come as a shock to some of you, but the HP & torque gains are as advertised! After install you could really feel the power. But torque is what you feel right, let's talk about horsepower. The speedo moves very quickly; much quicker than it did before. It really is like driving a new car. The main thing that impressed me was how smooth the powerband was. Before the torque would peak about 4000RPMs and you could tell without even looking @ the tach you were there. Now it's just a steady climb to about 5200RPMs, then it runs out of juice. The chip also fixed my lean misfire problem when the engine is cold. It also fixed my IAC valve problem which was making the car hard to stop because the engine would not idle down correctly. The fans come on @ 220 degrees. The speed limiter is removed. I can now fishtail the car on drypavement from a stoplight even with those huge rear tires! Bottom line, get this chip!

            What are the "advertised gains?"

The fastchips page only mentions the speed limiter being removed.

have any dyno or track numbers, before & after the chip install? imho, numbers would be more helpful.

Everyone keep in mind that this chip is good for engines that are not heavily modified, but only have the simple bolt-ons like exhuast and intake work. When I spoke with the people at Fastchips, they said that the computer work that the do would not work well with a 3.4L V6 that had heads and cam work done.

Otherwise, if the engine is basically stock internally, go for it!

For newer cars I'd recommend MAFT+ and a HPP3, expensive but you cover all the bases open to us currently.
