Really ? And how much logging have you done with HPtuners on one of these "low compression engines"??? Seems they have a ton of knock retard on 87 octane, they even still have some knock retard on 92. If that is not enough, the 92 has more additives to keep the injectors and intake ports/ valves cleaner.

I ranted about the differences in gas octane in a different thread so I'll keep it short. Brian is right. higher octane WILL keep your **** cleaner too.
I'm not holding the steering against the stops at all. I did get a SES light though. P0155 02 Heater Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 1
Doing some reading I see that engine hesitation is one of the problems with this code. Can I buy the sensor somewhere myself and do it?

Jeese, wait long enough to fix your problem? :slap: Sounds like an 02 sensor. Yes, you can buy them somewhere yourself. They're not hard to replace, just figure out where they are and they're just threaded in. They have specific tools you can buy that make it a little easier to get out. Just ask someone at an auto store. Good luck.

I'm not sure what type of car the original poster had, would this be the same location of the o2 sensor for my 1999 Firebird?
I called a shop and he asked if it's before or after the cat. I said it was before and asked if all the o2 sensors were the same. He said yes and it was $100.00 bucks. I have no problem shelling out the cash, I just want to make sure he's right. I basically buy the o2 sensor. Find where the sensor is in the passenger manifold and replace.
I do have my scanner so I'll reset the code after and see if it comes back up after I drive it. Can anyone verify that all the o2 sensors are the same and I don't have to buy a specific one?

Remove your serpentine belt and go for a drive...see if you can induce the same issues. Do that and get back to us. I prefer a parking lot as you are strictly running off your battery. You're doing this to see if any of accessories are the issue. If the sound goes away, there's a problem with your belt driven accessories. YOU WILL HAVE NO POWERSTEERING! DO IT WHERE IT'S SAFE. You'll need a 15mm socket and wrench to lower the tnesioner and remove the belt. Make sure you know the belt route (it should be on the dirver side shock tower) so you can put it back on.
A bad o2 will not create a hesitation. It will give you a bad idle until if goes into a closed loop. At least I never seen it happen...even to me.
The upstream O2s are the same (engine control)...the downstream (after cat/emission control) is different. Any engine or drivability issues will be caused by the upstream O2s, again, until it goes into a closed loop after a few minutes.
I would remove the belt and see what happens before you dish out major cash.

well today im going to change out that o2. This is a bit of a piss off since before I parked the car..about a year and a half ago I took my car to the shop. The guy said he changed all 4 o2 sensors and I paid about 400 bucks.
Does my car have 4 or 3 o2 sensors? Looking around it looks as though I may have 3. So I think i've been ripped off. I still have the bill on me where it states 4 o2 sensors, and my previous km's when i had it done. In a year I put on about 250km's. So I'm going to get this guy to show me all 4 o2 sensors he's changed.
