  • Another random question...

Is it anywhere near possible to switch out the steering wheel for an aftermarket one?

Sure, but you'll lose your airbag. I think the stock wheel is rather sexy on the 95.

The reason I ask, is because there isnt an adapter available for a 2000.

Well I may have spoke prematurely, It's just that I've seen others with aftermarket steeringwheels, but I'm not sure how much they had to modify.

Ah just zip tie the new one to the old one. No one will know.

Seems like they have a bunch... maybe you don't need an adapter? The camaro is designed to be on the track, unlike all the rice grinders out there.

The best thing you can do is call or email the people who actually make or supply the steering wheels and ask them. They will know. At least they should know.

I did it but it took some modification.

Did you get the engine installed? How is it running?

                      Re: Another random question...

I installed a mid 80's Trans Am wheel into my 1993 Firebird. The teeth on the hub mesh with the column ok, but I had to cut the "collar" of the wheel down. When I first installed the wheel the collar of the wheel hit the steering column so the teeth would not mesh properly. Once I cut the wheel back a bit it fit just fine.

It runs like sex, thats what. I go in on Monday to have a wire replaced...just a defective one, nothing major.

Very nice. Don't beat on it too badly.
