Just recently my car started acting weird when I would put the petal down to the floor. This is only when I'm trying to go fast, it will putter it seems and it loses a **** ton of power. It will cruise fine and nothing sounds odd when I"m just driving around. I replaced my spark plugs aobout 13,xxx miles ago and I replace my oil every 2500 miles, any suggestions?

    Re: Stuttering

A few months ago, I had a vacuum hose break loose, and the car started stuttering like nobody's business. When I'd stop at a light, it would idle so rough the car shook me out of the seat.

I did notice a hissing sound coming from under the hood, and that's how I found my problem.

    Just an idea.

Stumbling and not throwing a flashing SES light?

If there is an SES light I would guess spark plug or coil.

My car does this too, only at low speeds in high gears. 40 mph in 4th or 5th for example. I'm not throwing a SES light... I'm thinking its my coil packs or wires, no SES light to confirm though.
