  • Passenger side valve cover removal on a 98?

Tried doing a search but looks like this question doesn't get alot of responses. Any suggestions on how to get that last bolt in the rear out? I'm going to go out tomorrow and try finding a really deep socket that will fit my 1/4 ratchet, but I thought I'd check and see if there's another secret to it?

I hate that bolt. it was one of the reasons why i decided to go ahead and drop the engine out and perform major surgery on it.

You have to remove or bend the motor lift bracket out of the way. It's a PIA to get to the blots holding the bracket.

You kidding me? The engine lift bracket comes right out. 3 bolts iirc. You do need a ratcheting wrench to make the job alot easier. I removed mine once, and left it off for easy valve cover access. Well worth it.

Two 13 MM bolts ( might have been 15 MM) going into the back of the head, Way back under the cowl, against the firewall. Tight as hell if they have never been out.

It's 2 15mm's. I had to go buy a set of ratcheting wrenches to get the right size.
