Alright. Im not very good with fixing electrical crap so someone help. I installed a P.a System, It was working fine and when I went to turn it on yesterday There was a pop and some sparks and now my Interior Lights Dont work, Stereo doesnt work, pretty much everything electrical In the interior except the doors. I installed it correctly, Soldered all the wires and put a heat crimp on there. I put new fuses in today and it still wont work. I checked all the wires behind my stereo and they all look okay, no burnt spots on any that I can see except for the wire that the pa was installed too. Anyone got suggestions?

Make sure you check all your fuses in the fusebox. There has to be one that ties all those things that don't work together.

Did you check all the grounds? Also did you check all the wires to make sure none of them melted togther and check to see if the wires have any bare spots that might be causing a problem.

Where did the “pop” and the sparks come from? Inside the car?
Does your instrument cluster work?
First, disconnect the PA.
Then, I would do what everyone has been saying and check all the fuses. (Inside the car on the side of the dash, and under the hood behind the driver’s side headlight)
Then, check the fusible links. There is a distribution block on the passenger side wheel well. It is the red thing with a bunch of wires coming out of it. If you know how, check the resistance of all of the wires coming out of the distribution block. If you don’t know how to do that, take it to a shop and have them do it.
It’s kind of funny, because yesterday I was reading your first post (about how to install it) and my brother was reading over my shoulder:
Bro: “you’ve done that before haven’t you?”
Me: “yeah, if it’s a real PA it’s going to draw a lot of current. If he doesn’t hook it up right he could screw something up. He should probably run a designated line.”
Bro: “so say something”
Me: “Na, he is hooking it to the stereo +12 wire, if it is too much, the fuse should blow”
I know alot about cars I just, I just suck at diagnosing electrical crap. The pop was behind the stereo and the sparks were there too, Ive already checked all the fuses and links, those are fine. There is current going to the interior. The P.a was from a police catalog and all it said was too hook it up to 12 volt wire source in the interior, I thought they tell me the right way. I guess I should of ran it to the fuse block but I was being dumb and following instructions, those things never do me any good.
