  • where can i get the plastic gears for my headlight?

    Does anyone know where i can buy the PLASTIC GEARS for my headlight... i dont really have $50 to spend on getting brass ones (and im going to be selling the car)

    and the gm parts place says they don't sell them separate...

    PLEASE HELP! ASAP

    well, i remember seeing on that website that had the brass ones they showed you how to reuse the exisiting plastic ones for a while. if you take it apart the plastic gear is worn on one part, but if you flip it over it uses a different part of the gear, so it will work for a while longer.

      might as well do it right and get brass ones.

      but if your short on change you can use the same gear and just flip it around and it will work good as new. Just keep in mind you will have to change it in the future again.

        I was told that GM does not sell the plastic gear by itself, you have to buy the complete motor. Do the quick fix or get the brass gear.

          ok... it looks like the gears are completely worn out... both sides...
          does anyone know where i can get them????
          even used i dont care i just dont want to spend $50 on that if im not even going to have the car another month

            even used i dont care i just dont want to spend $50 on that if im not even going to have the car another month
            Do it as a selling feature for the person you'll sell the car to - the lights will never break! ;)

              I'd also like to know where to get the brass gears one of my headlights is tired and it needs a little viagra to help get it up sometimes.
