  • damn blinkers please help...

    okay guys i have been throgh 3 sets of front blinkers on my 2001 camaro in the past few years by blinkers i mean the housings.. they fog up and blow the bulbs really bad and the actual housing melts and busts and gets deformed i see this alot on f bodys is there a fix for it?
    2001 Camaro 3.8 A4
    1991 3000GT VR4
    2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS

    Sounds like your using the wrong bulbs.

      i am using what it calls for i used to use the NA version (amber) then i switched to silverstars.
      2001 Camaro 3.8 A4
      1991 3000GT VR4
      2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS

        Stop using the Silverstars and just use the standard GE bulb.

          Silverstars have worked fine for me. Check the current and voltage at the sockets, you may be getting too much.

            they do it too an i have black blinker housings so anything other than silverstars look like ****

              Are the housings supposed top be black?? or silver/chrome?

                or maybe seal them up with some silicon?

                  i was thinking about putting small holes in the top and bottom of the housing so it could drain and air would rush in and out of it to help keep it cooler but i think i will try the silicone first

                      ah blinker fluid i forgot about that! anywho i switched to led bulbs that should help out alot
