  • oil leak?

i have a moderately bad oil leak and i cant seem to find where it's coming from. At first i thought it was coming from the oil pan but it's not. I looked under the car and it is coming from somewhere around, or above the oil filter. It's not coming from the oil filter itself. What is around the oil filter that could leak?

Good deal... I had an oil leak about two years ago, but it was on the back side of the engine...not exactly the brighest of forecast, turned out to be the rear main seal...man was that a B****.

for future referance, what do you need to do you pull the oil pan gasket? just jacking up the engine to clear the k-member is enough?

That, or a tubular K then it is real easy.
