lost oil pressure!!!!

remember when i got my car back from the shop after the power pack install i had the low oil light on. 200 miles later the car loses oil pressure and dies. twice!!! oil is full and still no leaks.
after it dies the the first time i restart the car and now all lights are off (ses,low oil) i drive it home now all is fine. then i go to get some burgers- less than 5 miles and it dies again. oil light is now again but am scare it is going to die at any time. pressure goes back up after i restart the car. is my oil pump going bad? :eek:

Don't all fuel injected (electric fuel pump) cars have an automatic fuel shutoff if there is no oil pressure? (partially to make sure you're not spraying fuel all over the place after an accident)

If the sensor is bad, wiring is loose, etc., etc. the low oil reading may be faulty, but the system will shut 'er down, not knowing any better.

I don't remember the details of the earlier post, but if you can verify the sending unit is good or bad, that would be a good starting point.
