Hi, I have a 94 V6 and I had the walbro255 fuel pump installed LT1 kit(from auto performance engineering). Car ran fine for about a month, then one night while driving it just stalled out and wouldn't start. Mechanic said the sending unit was bad. Changed the sending unit out again car ran fine for 2 days, this time went to the coffee shop, came out car would turn over momentarily and stall out. I waited about an hour and the car started and got it home, what is going on? I noticed on the site I purchasd the pump it is the HP(high pressure) pump, could this be the problem, maybe too much pressure? Recently changed were plugs, wires, ICM, FPR, IAT sensor, O2 sensors, camshaft position sensor, fuel filter and the catalytic conv is gutted. Any help is greatly appreciated I'm stumped.

Re: Help Walbro255 problem--maybe?
Well, you ordered the right pump. You want high pressure. Low pressure would be for carb'd applications. Carbs run at 12ish psi, and we run at 43ish psi. Have you run the tank low frequently? Walbro's are real sensitive to low fuel levels. Fuel keeps them cool, running them dry will burn them up.www.fullthrottlev6.com
www.chitownracing.com

Re: Help Walbro255 problem--maybe?
O.K. I got the car started. Do you know the wiring harness on the top (I have the access hole cut out) I pulled it and jiggled it and guess what, power to the pump and boom it starts like a champ. Now my question is could it be the adapter that came with the kit or could it be the wiring with the new sending unit that is faulty? I can now get the pump to work or not work just by moving this harness around. Any insights are welcomed.

Thats the weird thing I checked and everything is connected and tight, Im wondering if there is play in the connector itself. I even have it ziptied but can still stop the pump from working my just tugging on it a little.
