Ok, I'm going to start this here just 'cause it seems like more people check this first.

At this very moment my car is sitting in the garage in Park. The back wheels are up on Rhino ramps, the front wheels are on the ground. So now you know the setup.

The problem: I removed the botls and clamps at the U joint, but the damned thing won't budge. I've tried pulling it forward, pushing it back, pulling up and down. I've even wrapped some cloths around the middle and tapped it with a hammer. What am I missing?

Should I jack up the front, or put it in neutral or... ???

make sure you can spin the back wheels and definetly put it in neutral. i know its on ramps but youll have to deal with it. unless you hav a floor jack. make sure the wheels will spin at least. you know how your car will go back a few inches in park if you dont use your e brake. it will have to move at least that far. if everything is tight you wont be able to budge it with anything. good luck.

do what die ford V8 says first. after that i'm a little confused...

it won't come out of its seats at the u-joint end or it won't leave the tailshaft housing? once the clamps come off the thing will normally just drop out at the u-joint end, then you have to slide it back towards the pumpkin to get the yoke out of the tailshaft housing.

do you have a two piece or one piece? the two piece 'shaft has a center bearing with mounts on the body that you will have to remove. get ready because it's a real PITA to be able to get at the top bolt.

        Hey thanks.
(Rally(it was a one piece steel))
Put in neutral and the driveshaft just fell onto the jackstands.
