• Review on Pennzoil 10w-30 High Mileage Oil

Well I usually use regular Pennzoil 10w-30 oil in my car but today I decided to use the High Mileage stuff, (I got 100k on my car now), it said it's supposed to stop leaks and improve performance a little. I was kinda skeptical at first but I wanted to give it a try. I have to say my car definatley feels a lot better and stronger. We'll see how the leaks go in a few days because I am leaking oil in a few small places. But other than that I give it a thumbs up and will definatley keep using it.

I honestly think it's just a selling gimick. But, if say that your car is running better, than good

yeah i dont think its all that. I work in a quick lube center here and utah. ITs like there brand new SUV, TRUCK, Minivan oil they just came out with. When I talked to the pennzoil sales rep he said its exactly like there Synthetic Blend motor oil with a different name. I asked why they would do such a thing and he said they are just trying to target SUV, TRUCK and MINIVAN market.

I assume the high mileage oil is the same way.

If you want a high mileage oil use a heavier weight oil if you ask me.

yea, i was gonna say, if you feel a difference, its prob. a synthetic blend.

synthetic oil def. makes a difference....

maybe its just marketed with a different name?

The high mileage oil does help stop leaks, it just expands the seals which over times will cause more leaks.
It's like you either have a small leak for a few years or fix a small leak, then have a huge leak in a few years

haha no it doesn't...it just can last longer between oil changes.

Unless of course you forget to buy a high-milleage oil filter, then you still have to change at 3,000.
