Im 90% sure my starter is stuck, battery is good. car has gas. when i go to start it i get one click then nothing.

can someone please tell me where the starter is on a 1997 3.8L Camaro so i can tap it with a screwdriver. I cant find any pics anywhere.

right next to the oil pan on the drivers side. it should have a shield over it.

could be the relay going on you.

Make sure there is no corrosion at the battery terminals.

Make sure your side terminals on your battery aren't stripped.

but the starter in on the driver's side of the engine, you'll have to take off the heat sheild.

if its stuck, its safe to just tap it with a screwdriver to get it working again right?

tapping it with a screwdriver isnt going to do anything, you need to hit it with a hammer

the starter could be totally fryed on you. mine was at 84,000. i had everything to go, but the starter wouldnt engage. take it out and have it tested and an auto parts store. there are many that can test them...
