  • sometimes it is dead sometimes it isnt

I have a problem with misfiring when I start my car because it has a dead cylinder and shakes alot but the cylinder always "comes back to life" when I floor the motor and get it to 3500+ RPMS and then it will run fine for the rest of my drive. Sometimes it does this, sometimes it doesn't. It usually will do it if I let the car sit for a few days but it will even do it if I only let it sit for a couple hours. Any suggestions? my coolant is also disappearing but there is no white smoke or milky oil so I do not know what to do.

Any ideas? thanks guys. I am also trying to sell the car so I don't want to do anything crazy to fix this, just get it sellable...

Also just FYI the car is a 94 3.4l with 99xxx miles. I do not know when the last time plugs were changed on the car. I got the car with 82xxx miles. I did the wires right after getting the car because of a dead cylinder and that fixed it. I am just afraid of pulling the plugs and breaking one in the block...

get somebody to pull the plugs for you. Check your electrical. Wires, grounds, battery. Is your battery holding a charge? how long since its been replaced? same cylinder as before? I'm no expert but sounds like a plug issue.
