  • LS1 Injectors install

just installed LS1 injectors...and no they will not directly snap in and bolt on....fuel rail needs to me modified.....the LS1 injector's O ring sit a little higher then our stock ones and the brackets need to be shorter on all 4 brackets.

In your opinion, what all would happen if someone didnt shorten the rail and just put the ls1 injectors in? Would they have a fuel leak? What noticeable differences would there be if the rail isnt shortened, just curious because i have ls1 injectors and mine dont leak and when i sat the 3.8 and ls1 injuector side by side they were the same length, the ls1 injectors are just thinner

yes they are the same size but look at the O-ring position on both....LS1 sit higher.....id say if u didnt lower the rail it would leak.

those stock injectors look VERY close to what a dsm's stock injectors look like... you should have done some reasearch to see if a set of Fuel injector clinic injectors would have worked.

well mine have been in for many months no leaks yet, what else could happen if they are too short? would i know if mine were to short by now? would the car run rich/lean if they are too short or would they just leak? mine do not leak but now you have me worried
