Oil filter interchangability

the ls1's use a different filter, not sure about the lt1's (speaking of the 3.8)

ls1 is different. you can use a filter from the 4.3l motors and add an xtra half qt of oil

Not positive on exactly years, but late 90s like tom said. I used one for a 98 blazer.

I use the biggest oil filter I can find that has the same diameter.

My 93 1500 had the 4.3L... awesome little engine, practically a 350 with 2 cylinders lopped off...

from what i've found researching it, thats pretty much how they made it lol...i think the cylinder bore/stroke are the same, just less of them, either way its a sweet lil engine, the 95 astro has 206K on it now...blew the tranny doin burnouts lol
