ever check your coils? wires? plugs? wait.. it revs real high but it's not firing? You're gonna have to clarify a bit. Hell, either way check your spark. These engines aren't made to run on compression alone.

revs real high only when i try to crank it with my foot on the floor...as soon as i let off the key it dies

if your car wolnt crank, check the battery or the starter

it may be jammed on the flywheel, which is preventing your engine from turning

does it make a clicking noise when you turn the key?

the engine turns over just wont run...going to check for spark in a bit...could be a bad cam or crank sensor...i just dont know

Check for spark at a few of the plugs. If it's even getting spark on 2 or 3 plugs, it should be enough for it to at least fire. You can either lay the spark plug, with the plug wire attached, on top of the motor on something metal, or you can put the end of a test light (attached to a good ground) slightly into the open plug wire (where the spark plug would go) and you should see or hear some sparks while you turn the engine over.

Check your fuel pump, the hose probably fell off for the pick up, mine did once before, I didn't tighten the clamp down enough. Luckly I have a fuel pressure gauge mounted inside the car and saw it was running at like 30 psi and would drop. I hope you did the cutout method when you replaced your pump. If not this would be a good time.

if you are getting spark its not the crank sensor

so the fuel pressure regulator can just fail all of a sudden and stop the car from running?...ok i guess i will be replacing the fpr

Pull the vacuum line off of the fuel pressure regulator and see if there is fuel coming out of it. If there is fuel leaking out there, then the regulator is bad. But if you're not getting any pressure at all, it'd have to be leaking really bad. I would lean more towards a fuel pump issue at this point. Try disconnecting the fuel line after the fuel filter. Turn the ignition on for a second and you should see fuel spray out of the filter. If you have a good stream of fuel but you're still not getting pressure at the rail, then it would almost have to be a fuel pressure regulator that's torn wide open and pissing fuel everywhere.
