  • Heat is not working ideas?

Ok well Just got my 02 Dodge ram witch is pretty sweet. We got some snow the other day I went out to clean off the maro and it was running for like 10 mins the engine was at 220 temp wise and cold air was still blowing out but once I turn the dial from defrost to blow out the vent it was still cold but the temp gauge dropped to 190. I am thinking it may be the thermostat. What do you guys think thanks in advance for your guys help?

Are you talking about a camaro or a dodge? When you turned the dial from defrost to blow out of the vents and the temp gauge dropped to 190, did the hot air start blowing?

Im not sure how the heat actually comes on. I dont know if there is a valve or not, But it sounds like if there is a valve that the valve that opens to let the hot water into the heater core is not opening.

Check your radiator fluid, it may be low.

The camaro I am talking about umm we change the thermostat out and added a lil antifreeze and it seems to be working now. O knows I have to sell it since I can't afford both cars.
