I would keep the car and do all the maintainance as described by the other members who have posted. After you complete all of that and do not have any serious problems with the car for at least six months I would say you are a winner. Do keep your Civic for the time being just to make sure you aren't stranded should any major problems arise with the Camaro.

It looks like a clean car man. Miles arnt bad on it, water really never hurt anything.. if it was flooded and sat, the harness should be dry.
I would just flush the tranny, engine out, seafoam it I guess from what they said, and just put a nice grade of fuel in. replace what you said you were going to, better to be safe than sorry ya know...

Vasoline does a good job of sealing t-tops btw

they dont get as much as a discount as you think, and they dont mind buying used cars because they know what to look for

If it makes any difference to you panther, the techs at the dealership i work at that have looked at the car through and through are the ones offering to buy it from me, so it cant be that bad of condition, new price ive been offered $1,500...i got pics of the doorjam but they are really crappy and im not sure if anyone can read them, if you want me to post them anyways let me know
If the car runs good after a good tune up (filters, hoses, fluids, etc), i'm sure you could fetch a good deal more than 1,500 for it.. Its a t-top with only 60k.
