  • The 3.4 Throttle

what's the best way to go about making the throttle open easier on a 3.4? i drove my mom's 94 buick regal gs(3800 series engine) and a few 3.8 camaros, and the gas seems to "fall" to the floor a lot easier. do i have to get a new throttle body, or is there a throttle line lubrication or something else that can make the throttle open easier? i was so used to driving the regal, that when it came time to drive the camaro, i had to become a little heavier on the foot.

I think he's talking about pedal effort.

        Get a heavier shoe?

My guess would be to loosen the spring on the throttle body somehow. Cut a coil off? Personally that is something I would not want to mess with.

FunkZ, yes, that's what i mean, the pedal effort. i was just wondering how i could make the gas go to the floor easier. it's not too big a deal though, being that i plan on doing all kinds of stuff to the car in the future that will most likely give me that same result. either way, i love flooring it from a 30 roll ;)
