All I know is that I've the only oil I have used in the new engine. Never had any knocks and I only changed it every 10 months.(I know, I know).

It had real good write ups from Hot Rod mag, etc.

2 summers ago I drove in literally 115* heat with NO coolant until the motor finally shut off, and 2 years later, from what I can tell not too much happened, no noises, ticks etc. I know someone who did the same thing with their Monte Carlo with regular oil, they froze their engine.

    Just my 2 cents.....

Ive heard its really good, but for the money you pay for it-it better be. I have never used it, i just change my oil about every 6 months or 2000 miles or when ever i get bored.

Over 265,000 miles on my 1991 Firebird 3.1, I won't switch from Castrol GTX 10w30 motor oil.

Royal Purple is very expen$ive by the case!
