If you really want your ac system to last you're suppose to run it for a few minutes every now and then. Even in the winter. Yeah you'll still have to recharge it but your compressor and whatnot is suppose to last longer. So they say.

I haven't seen this mentioned so I thought I would..........
After you put your a/c system back together, you did use a vaccum pump and draw a vaccum on your system to remove regular atmosphere, water vapor, etc. before you charged it didn't you?Comment
