i have pontiac firebird 92 v6 3.1
sorry if this is stupid question, but do i have pcv filter in my car?i have changed my pcv valve but far as i have check there is no pcv filter,am i right?and what is breather element?and where is it located?and there,where is my pcv valve,other side of the engine has black plastic cap,that looks like there is another pcv valve,i dont know, i have tried to pull that plug off,but its stuck.can someone tell what that plug is?thanks. My car isn't the same as yours, but if I were to guess-

Your car doesn't have a pcv filter, only the valve.
Also, your car probably doesn't have a breather element, as they are usually found on older cars with carburetors and much older pollution control systems. The pcv valve is there instead of the breather.

Sorry I can't comment on the plastic cap without seeing it in a picture.
