• Coolant question..

I haven't checked my coolant level in awhile, and went to check it today after the car had sat overnight. It was practically bone dry, with just a little dribble of coolant at the bottom of the dipstick. I then opened the radiator cap-no visible coolant there either. How weird is this? My engine has NEVER overheated--temp gauge hovers right around 210 or under all the time.. I've just purchased some new coolant and I'm fillin 'er up tomorrow morning. Anyone else experience this??

Yeah but with mine it was because I had a leak. I jacked the car up and it started dripping out. It turned out to be a bad water pump. I think 210 is too high, you should be at 160-180 or you're losing HP. Mine is running 210 in the city also and I'm gonna rig up a fan switch to help keep it down.

How high on the dipstick should the coolant measure?

Pull the Dipstick out and if your car is cold the level should be where it says cold on the dipstick, if you just got done driving and your car is hot then the level should be where it says hot on the dipstick
