i removed my headers and put them back on. was i suppose to put new gaksets on them? the current ones looked fine. it looks like a piece of flat metal.
2nd question. i unbolted the y pipe from the headers (2 bolts on each side).. the old bolts are ruined.. does autozone sell the bolt. what do i search for? can someone give me the size of the thread and height. and what should the bolts be made of?
yeah stock manifolds and stock gasket. the gasket looks like it would be re-usable..thats why i didnt buy new ones. but my headers are leaking so i'm trying to figure out what it is.
i lost the original bolts so i cant carry one to the store with me. i bought some different bolts. i'm just trying to buy bolts like the stock bolts (4 of them)
I would take your car to a exhaust shop and have 3 bolt flanges welded on instead of the 2 bolt flanges. It will help you in the long run.
