for some reason when i have my lights on... sometimes when i hit the brakes the battery gauge fluxuates and everything dimms.... is this an altenator problem? any help greatly appreciated...

WELL i can't say that "with my vast technical knowledge that IS why your lights are dimming"
but i did have the same problem shortly b4 my alternator and battery died on me. :(

My lights dim sometimes when I down shift. My car has done that ever since I've had it. It's going on 3 years now. [img]smile.gif[/img]2000 V6 Camaro(bought brand new)

I have a 99 and it does the same thing. I push in the clutch and the lights dim and the guage drops until I let off.AndrewComment

Mine does it too every once in a while and I just recently replaced my alternator so I dont think you really have anything to worry about.

Yeah, more than likely. I had a 96 Camaro before I got my 2000. And it also did the same thing.2000 V6 Camaro(bought brand new)

Dude i know where you are coming from. I have an 02 also and it has done it ever since it was new. I had the dealer check it out and they said the charging system is working in perfect order even when there is a load present. My 99 does the same thing when I push the clutch in, alll my lights dim out until I let off the clutch.
