Whenever I roll up my power windows it stops like a 1/2-3/4th inch from the top. If I open my door then I can make it go up the extra 3/4th. Whats the deal with this? I'm pretty sure its only the drivers side window.

You can take your door panel off and make window angle adjustments and see if it helps. Other than that, it's probably the motor.

yeah my driverside window does that too, sucks doesn't it? (atleast in the winter when you have to get it washed at a carwash... bring the towels [img]smile.gif[/img] !!)
i 'fixed' it last summer but i guess it came lose again... man i hate taking that door panel off.Comment

my roommates, 3rd gen does that too...can't really avoid it I guess. He's pryed his car apart inside and out to no avail...then again his concerns is getting his motor running right.Comment

It only happens on myt passenger side, thats cause someone tried to slim jim my door. ( or use the door opener. till they saw It was an F-body and u cant use the door unlock while the cars off and sitting for to long. but the window doesnt seal cause it wasnt getting enough power ( which is a factory defect ) which kills motors fast on our cars. Yeah, I think there must be a defect with these power windows. I have a 97 Camaro and recently had to have a new power window motor and switch installed....Oh..and if you have a GMAPP warrenty...power windows ARE covered...they tried to tell me they weren't covered and overcharge me $300 instead of my $100 deductible..then I looked through a GMAPP brochure CLOSELY (small print) and saw power windows...I was quite pissed...Comment

That happened to mine but I got some silicone cleaner stuff my mechanic recommended to clean the weather stripping and now it goes up all the way fine. It was only a couple bucks at Auto Zone.
