- mirrors are differrent because if you hit a bicycle or someone, they could be injured.

Most of the roads in europe are narrow enough for 1 car. Try to fit two cars and a bike and someone will lose. At least in the states on most narrow roads there's shoulders, I know in Ireland there's old stone walls, in other words don't screw up or you need a paint job.

The roads are narrow, but still, the stock US mirrors don't stick out as far as the EURO mirrors you have. Granted they fold in, but the more shallow profile of the US mirrors would probably hurt less if you actually hit someone with them.

I drove for a week in the UK and I learned to hate roundabouts...

...and narrow roads...
...and driving on the wrong side...
...and small city-cars that go 5 mph...
...and pedestrians...
...and congestion charges...
...and $8/gal gas...
...and chavs who rice out 60hp go-karts they call cars...
...and 18yo's in bars... :D

Basically don't go to the UK.

In a vacuum, sure. The tricky part is carrying enough oxygen on-board for the engine to run.

Ungoverned I would think the 3.8's can go about 140? Interesting to try, but I don't dare.

Iv'e got my 96 RS up there once ill tell you that and it was very legal when it happend :D

I wouldn't recomend ever going that fast without any performance applications cause it redlines at around that speed. Not to mention tons of wheel spin.

hmm i've never tested my 97 RS past 115-116 but my old 89 RS with a 2.8L V6 would go 134mph!!! I used to break 100 every day i drove that.... then again, this is probably the reason it's sitting next to my garage DEAD! Oh well, I'm not a whole lot nicer to the 97 3.8, it sees 100+at least a couple times a week (one of the advantages of living in a town with a smaller population than alot of high schools)... I do miss my red 89 RS, the silver 97 RS doesnt shine like bright red does...

but I think it may fit as is, you'll just have extra space to play with on the sides...

or you could just install lights on your current rear bumper cover... not recommended haha

speaking of lights, anyone know where I can get cheap foggies? they are rediculous at the local NAPA (only parts store for 50 miles)haha

hi,

About removing/changing the speedlimiter, i bought a hypertech 32002 programmer, and it is easy, and its working.
Driving that fast is tricky, but i replaced my shocks with koni's (front and rear), and i changed the swaybars with 32mm and 19mm (SS-Camaro).

The car is steady as a rock.
