your car is ONLY good for seafoaming through the brake booster DO NOT put it in your oil unless you want to have fun replacing the oil pump and cam, and have metal flake all throughout your engine that will cause tremendous wear
Isn't that why they tell you to change your oil 200 miles after using seafoam?
So basically DO put it in your crankcase if you ARE NOT retarded and CAN follow directions. :slap:
93 octane has more oxygen in it... so it burns hotter, not just prevents knocking.
therefore, i think less carbon build up?
I though 93 octane was just 93% octane, 7% heptane and the higher octane level was just used to prevent higher compression engines from spontaneously igniting the fuel under pressure.

uh, no
seafoam will take the buildup that accumulated in the weared parts of your engine off, this means that there will be play along with metal to metal contact, which will cause more wear.
why do you think it is not recommended, and most shops will not do a transmission flush on a transmission with over 120k miles?
because they dont want to deal with the people coming back a week later with a ruined transmission and asking for it to be replaced because they messed it up
you can go ahead and do it if you please, its not my car.
Okay now I'm just sacred to put any in my car lol  well not sure on what I'm going to do but for the mean time I'm just going to keep up with maintenance on the car runs great as is and it's all stock for now. But now for long.

I'm a freakin' rebel. Right after reading this, I ran out and dropped a can in my gas and half a can in my oil. I ain't skerd!
I didn't see anything on the can about changing the oil in 200 miles. Anywho, isn't the oil filter there to catch anything in the oil?

you should be fine putting it in your gas or sucking it up through your brake booster, but just dont put any in your oil, thats all
Why does it say on the can "1oz per quart of oil" if it's gonna harm the engine? Doesn't sound like a good marketing strategy to me. Am I using a different product from them? White can, red writing?
I put seafoam in my oil a couple times... I had never heard not to until today. I have not necessarily had any problems, actually it fixed the problem I was having - a sticking lifter. Now I would have never put it in otherwise, but at 200,000+ miles it needed it. I will say this I have notice some loose particles on the dipstick after using it, but that was over a year ago and my engine is running strong.
I've been putting Seafoam in my car since 140,000 miles every 10k miles, my car now has 160,000 miles. No problems here, i've also been running Royal Purple so i'm not sure if that helps on the oil aspect of being clean. Most people recommend NOT going OVER 200 MILES after you put the Seafoam in the oil, I like to just go 100 to be safe.

Reason: Forgot the "not" part

Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
