the wiring harness that plugs into the top of the digital EGR, what does that do?
because i forgot to plug it in after taking it out and the car ran just fine without it in, in fact the car ran GREAT without it. didn't throw a code or anything...
so what does it do and is it bad to have it unplugged?
I took mine off and only install it to pass inspection once every two years.
The car runs better with out it. It frees up alot of room, keeps hot exhaust gases from entering the intake manifold and you lose a little weight off the front end. One other benefit is if you only install it for inspection it will probally last you a life time as you know they are expensive.

as i'm sure u know, there is another side to the argument, such as the engine running hotter etc. iirc there were some real good points as to why the egr was a GOOD thing to have on.
BTW i can't simply "remove" the EGR, since i have no way of blocking off the tubes and i dont really want to do that unless i have to.
i basically want to go the cheapest route that will get me to where i want to be which is no more code being thrown. unfortunately i have no way of removing the code if i delete the EGR so thats why i'm asking if that 40$ egr is worth a shot?
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
