  • Help everyone!

Okay so i managed to save about $2000 for my camaro.

The problem is I don't know what to do with the money.

I don't really want like a speed demon just something reliable and clean looking with some muscle when I need it.

I know i need somethings repaired first but then what do i spend the money on?

Any advice/ recommendations is appreciated! and plus be informative i dont really know much about cars.

this is on the bottom panel of the passenger door. i let my gf drive the car because she asked and she hit a curb. the damage extends from the bottom of the passenger side fender to about halfway underneath the door. im not sure what the panel is called hopefully you guys can clear this up for me.
i was wondering how much it would cost to repair this and how much work is involved. thanks

this is under my trunk on the right side near the tailights. the crack was there when i bought the car but i didnt think it mattered but every time i open the trunk it bothers me. the cracking is on this corner shown and the left corner as well. how could i fix this?

im not sure what this is called but i guess its there to keep rocks and things that get whipped up by the wheels from getting into the engine and all that. not mud flaps but the thing in the picture. you can see its cracked and is falling apart. what is it called and does it really affect the car? and where can i get them thanks!

the main thing that i need repaired or adjusted is my front bumper it kinda sags a little. especially on the driver side it hangs a big lower than the passenger side. i thought it was the bolts that go into the support beam that holds the bumper to the frame so i went to a pep boys to see if they carried metal ones for it since i thought the plastic ones i had didnt do the job. but they said they dont make metal ones so im not really sure wut to do about it. any ideas?

next is the hood. i love the stock hood but i was wondering if there are any cool hood scoops i could purchase that isnt too deep for the pocket but looks nice?

lastly is my engine. its a 3.8li v6 (car is 98) i dont really need a super suped camaro or anything but maybe some small modifications that will give me a little more power? any ideas will be great ive done alot of reading and research and im kinda interested in building a v6 engine with some performance parts but thats later on.

also anything else you guys could recommend for my 2000 budget please go ahead and let me know thanks alot guys!

sorry for the big post! but i really need the help thanks every1!

I'm pretty sure there's not much of a fix for that; you pretty much have to replace the whole panel, and I don't know what it's called.

bondo it up, sand it down and have a shop paint it; or you could try some spray paint if you're any good with it

Not quite sure what you're asking in this one? The black piece looks like part of a bra if you ask me, but that shouldn't keep rocks from the engine bay; perhaps you're talking about the splash guards?

I'm pretty sure there's a way to adjust the bumper. Are you sure it's the bumper that's wrong and not the hood?

I have yet to find just a regular scoop that looks good on our cars; you pretty much have to buy a new hood.

Engine wise, start off with the basics; cold air intake, headers, high flow cat, and cat-back exhaust. Then I'd look into an aluminum driveshaft from our V8 brethren, along with a posi rear from them with 3.42 gears. You should be able to find most of that stuff used and all for under $1000

And your pictures are pretty small; might want to change that :)

          Re: Help everyone!

ooo sorry about that guys okay the pictures are fixed and are larger for your viewing pleasure.

As for the stock hood i guess i can let that go since its not a necessity at the moment.

and radracer i think it is the splash guards does it matter if those are worn away?

and ill try the bondo thing for my trunk but im still needing some assistance on that curb run on my right side i really need that fixed!

          thanks every1!
