  • Power/Ignition Problem

Well first let me start off with this..not sure if it would have any relevance to the problem. My car was broken into about a week ago. I lost my radio and amp...they have not been replace so the wires are still there. Ive removed the fuse that leads to the amps and such so I dont know if that can still be draining power.. The problem is that everytime I try to start it I hear a "clicking" noise as if it were dead but sometimes if i try a couple more times it will start and show a full battery sign. The batter is approx. 4 years old. I m not sure if this would be an ignition problem or if i just need a new battery or something totally different. I appreciate all the help i can get and asap help the most because this is my everyday car. Thank you -Nick
PS I would also like to say that this just started "clicking" after the car was broken into but before that it had some starting problems itd be fine the when i turned the key itd go completely dead but usually was okay after a couple minutes..just trying to tget the whole story in thanks guys

well, first, since it is 4yrs old, i would replace it. also, the gauge you are seeing is your charging volts, a.k.a. your alternator. if your battery is going dead, it could give you hard starting but then your alternator would take over once the car would start and everything would be fine. i would tr replacing the battery and go from there. i wouldnt doubt if thats the only thing wrong.
