I was wanting to do this on my car. Is there a write up on it. I was wondering if i could turn the fans on when i want but if i wanted normal operation they would come on at stock temp. Can someone point me in the right direction.

What your talking about is manual fan switch. SLP has them and i believe they come with instructions.

Did a search, all these came up http://www.camarov6.com/cgi-bin/ulti...62-021635-XWM7

If you want to order the SLP fan switch the install is just pluging in one thing, grounding a wire, and running the wires inside the car. Either way you should be able to run the fans on high, low, or normal operation.

Thanks i will probably do it this weekend. Hokie with the way you ran you switch can you use it with norman operation. i think i am just doing a switch where i control the high speed. If i have the fans on why not just keep em on high.

That isn't my write up, but yes when the switch is in the center it should be back to normal operation. I only use the high setting too. I really can't think of a time when you would use low.

so a reguler toggle switch would be fine. on/off style. i am thinking of doing a led with it to. i just wanted to know if it would go back into normal oerration when it is off.

Yeah, it would go back to normal when the switch is off. You would basically just wire it up like the top section of his picture with the red dot or the bottom section of the nicer black and white drawling at the bottom of the page.
