my abs inop light has been on for about almost a week now. its comes and goes like you also said. ive kinda noticed(when the abs inop isnt on) that when i crank the weel hard it turns on.(cause it happens often i guess so i look for minor things that cause this stuff) so if u know how to fix this it would be great. im thinking it might be a loose wire or some thing but i dont really know jack **** about these cars as i jsut started modding mine :)

Max - you really need to get a new dipstick, dipstick tube, or whatever else you need to check the oil.

Don't rely on the "low oil" light. Invest the money and fix the dipstick and tube.

BTW - As you know I have a 3.4 as well. Personally, I think it is a great engine. Mine runs very smooth and does not burn any oil at all. When I bought the car the "Low Oil" light was always on. The sensor wiring had been cut, so I pulled the bulb and no more "low oil" light issues. I pull the dipstick once a week to make sure it is full and I am done.

any thoughts out there on how to go about replacing the dipstick and tube?

how is it bolted into the block? how do u replace it?

yes my friend,,it comes on when the brakes are worn out,,,the brake light comes on when your hand brake is aplied and when you have low brake fluid,. check your rear brakes then just to be sure.
