Maybe it requires a code to be entered in order for it to be played...?

That code thing sucks. I have never programed mine to come on.

Check in your owners manual and all other paperwork. Hopefully the previous owner was nice enough to write it down for you. If not have fun at the dealership.

Yeah i think you can call the dealership , with your VIN number.. and they should give you a code, but if its not turning on at all maybe something is messed up... if its Theftlock code, it would say CODE across the screen.

Not sure about your car, but ive had this problem happen before (tends to be on imports though) to where you have to have the dealer clear a code (doesnt come up on OBD2) in the system that controls it. (Ive even seen it make the AC not work anymore, what kinda BS is that? lol)

If they are not getting power you have to know why. u need
a VTTM meter to see if there is dc power reaching the CD unit.

Same thing happened to me with my old 94 firebird. It has a anti-theft system built into the cd deck itself. You will have to take it to the dealer to have them put the code in for you. I forget how much it is to do it but it's not bad. Like $20 bucks maybe less I think. You should have a red led on your deck, I want to say it blinks when it locks out, if I remeber right.
