  • missfire that moves around

Hey guys how common is it for the ignition control module to go bad? I know its not plugs and wires, they are new, and i have switched coils around, and its always random cylinders that I am getting misfires on. Im just asking before I go to the trouble of changing the ICM to see if this will get rid of the missfires. And guys dont tell me to go check my plugs and wires again, I know how people love to suggest that for any misfire problem, I have already been through that and know the ends and outs of that perfectly. Im just asking about the ICM now.

Thanks for any info you have

Make sure to check your fuel delivery (fuel filter, pump, pressure regulator), and make sure your exhaust back pressure isn't excessive (clogged cat). Both of thoes things will cause random misfires. Good luck.
