when i am going really slow, like under 5mph, I have been getting a hard knock sound from the front axle area. It usually only happens when I first start the car, not so much from a stop light or anything.
A while back I hit a curb and when I had my alignment fixed the mechanic said I needed a new rack and pinion because it was leakinhg or something. Well I thought that was BS because I saw no leak and this was like 4 months ago and my tranny fluid is still almost completely full. Never had any problems with anything either. I bring this up because that is the area where the sound is coming from.
Does anyone have any idea what I could check. Thank you.
